beauty bar downtown las vegas 05.28.05 so we went and checked out this bar downtown last night called Beauty Bar. it's on fremont and las vegas boulevard. it's all decorated like a vintage beauty salon complete with ol' skool hair dryers. you can even get a manicure while you're chuggin' a cocktail. there was a dj spinnin' some really random stuff, good stuff, but completely random. it's a pretty cool lil spot, but it needs a lil something. it seems a lil bare is all. the only art work on the walls is a painting of the mayor sippin' some gin. apparently there's one in new york, los angeles, san francisco, and now vegas. i hope it makes it. it's in the downtown area which has some major rennovation and improvements going on, but a lot of those changes won't be finished for a couple of years yet. it is a hip spot though... gives vegas a bit of culture that it so desperately needs.
